Who needs an airport background???? Six hour flight delay was really a nightmare...

You had your biggest playground at the airport. You had the longest playtime ever. you did everything to stay away from boredom because of six hour flight delay. When we were about to board, you were sitting...looking very tired and cannot even walk. A perfect picture of a very exhausted little boy....please give way to our wheelchair passenger.

Their color palette every week helps me create layouts. I will keep on playing along...i really love this site.
This picture is one of my favorites...i rarely have pictures of my loved ones aside from my kids. I don't even have pictures of my husband for me to scrap...he's our photographer!
I love this palette because its a girl and boy color combo! I enjoyed doing the sequins shaker and the twill ribbon flowers sprayed with sherbet mist!

I got bored with my style, using plain cardstock. I also found out that i don't have much pps in my stash. I love using solid colors, i limited myself to that style because it made my creative process easier. I tried playing with patterned papers this week and i enjoyed it! Here are some of my layouts.

Its been 9 months since my last post. My last creation was a layout from scrappin' moms idol3. No layouts for 2010 until i found a site thru one of the scrappin' moms and one of my idols, Iris, about The Color Room.Actually, All the scrappin moms are my favorites,..Their works are fabulous! Anyway,I was inspired to do layouts again because I didn't have a hard time thinking of color palettes and sketches. All i did was to find the right photos and embellished!

It's a good jump-start...hope i could create more layouts this year! I'm Back with Colors!

I attented a scrap buffet last saturday. Thanks to TIN of Studio Azul and the rest of the girls...great job!
Scrap all you can...super cool concept! I was able to make 7 layouts. First time to make soooo many los in 6hours. Here are my works....

MY ALTERED STORY BOOK

These are my daughter's mini story books. I altered one of these, to make a musical photo carousel...I'm sure she will not notice it because she has like 15 books scattered on her shelf.

I used a cover of a CD container as my carousel base. I got the musical mechanism from a broken jewelry box. I used one CD to cover the base.

I painted the book with brown...tied fibers to conceal the lines, embellished a little..i have now my musical photo carousel. Though the musical mechanism is xmas tune, i still used pics of me and my hubby... Please watch the video.

My newly renovated work space. It cost me a lot to make this arrangement,not because of the renovation materials and labor but because of the LCD tv my husband asked for. He said he will not let me bring down my cabinet ( cabinet located in our room) w/out a new tv.

I bought this black mug ( w/out handle) at P10 each. I had an idea of making an oil burner out of this sale item. I immediately looked for the tray of spoon and fork i kept from our restaurant 5 yrs ago.

This was my creation that i had in mind. I purchased 24 pcs of mugs...when my husband saw the finished product, he said,i should have bought them all!

Oh, its been 6months i haven't updated my blog.I was sooo busy these past few months,doing other hobbies and trying new sports. My last creation was last November 2008. Finally, i was able to go back to my first love agin, (scrapbooking).
This was my entry for the LO challenge of scrap jam held last April 4-5 at Clarkfield,Pampanga. Luckily i was the 3rd place winner. I had a wonderful time with the other girls who attended the event. Can't wait to join the next JAM....

My mom's arowana died last april 2008. Hubby decided to bring it to a taxidermist for preservation and give it as a gift for his dear MIL.He used acrylic enclosure for the housing.

I was so happy because i got the scrap acrylic sheets. Out of the excess sheets, i made my first 6x6 acrylic album...first time with acrylics...with the limited materials i have, "anything goes, basta makabuo ako ng album."

INSPIRED BY HAPPY MEAL TOYS

One of the things my 4.5 year old daughter Anika and my husband like to do for bonding is wrestling/karate...When McDonalds had the Kung Fu Panda Happy Meal toys, my husband bought one for Anika. Now, she has 6 toys already...I told my husband not to get her another kung fu character. "Ang mahal na ng inabot nung toy, kung binili ko na lang siya ng nuggets sa grocery, eh di ang dami pa nun." But when i saw her drawing last week, i said to myself, "nako, she found inspiration from the toys." My husband and i were surprised with the finished art she made.

ALTERED TOOLBOX

This is how supportive my hubby when it comes to my hobby...He altered my scrapbook trolley. This is a stanley gray toolbox given by my husband last year.Sayang, i didn't take a picture of it before he painted it with pink. Aside from the hair dryer i got from him as a bday gift last May, he surprised me with this altered toolbox...pati mga stickers siya ang nagpagawa...I'm so happy...sabi niya gamitin ko daw sa scrapjam...kahit konti lang dala ko, i'm going to use it, baka magtampo pag hindi ko ginamit.

Super quickie LO

cruisin' LAKE TAHOE
Materials used: DCWV cardstocks, Diamond glaze, cricut:George font, metal embellishment,

I like plain and simple LO. I had fun with the tearing technique. I made a snow mountain background out of DCWV cardstock with white core. I used diamond glaze for added dimension.

There's a hidden note at the back of the snow mountain. I can't think of anything to write so i decided to put details of the lake, like the location, coordinates and surface elevation.

This is my entry for Buzybee's 1st Challenge.
the first picture is the front page, you have to flip it over to see the full page of the layout, thats the second picture.

This is the actual target board i shot from the firing range, i took it home as a souvenir,,cut the portion and made into a miniature one then used it to write on my journal,, the holes were actual bullet holes from my gun shots.

Materials used: Fancy Pants all abt boy pps, FP rub ons, DCWV cardstck,makaing memories notecard,chipboard letter,distress crackle paint,crystal stickers

Journaling: It was a day of emotions, both fear and excitement. I've been longing to try this hobby for so long but i was intimidated...as they always say - GUNS AND GIRLS DON"T MATCH. But there's no turning back. Time finally came as i held the gun, pointed it towards my target, released the safety, squeezed the trigger slowly...KABOOOM! and more KABOOOM!Bullets flying all over as it pierced my target board. I finally conquered my fear of guns. I think this TOY is for BIG GIRLS too!- My First Crack At The Firing Range

MY NEW CABINET

Finally, I have a new cabinet for my scrap...an imitation of Keeps Sake Creation Station. When i saw the picture of For Keeps Sake, I told myself ,this is the one for me. We lived in a very small unit. I need to have a compact storage. This station is really an entire scrapbook room behind four doors. Paper storage was added on the right side.

I hope i could make a nice LO for these pics. I love their colors.
We used to have these beautiful lizards and frog. For some reasons we sold the frog and swapped the lizards for something else. My daughter wanted to have these pets back.
CHEESE - white lipped green tree frog (always smiling that's why we named it cheese) , DIDI - albino leopard gecko and DADA - tangerine carrot tail leopard gecko...
Geckos are quite expensive, depending on the breed..."kaya sabi ko frog na lang, para may pang bili pako ng pang scrapbook."

One of the things my hubby does is shooting...I have been longing to try this hobby since last year, but i got pregnant. i just gave birth last january and finally, i had my first crack at the firing range using my hubby's norinco 1911 .45 cal. I was so nervous with my first shot. "Takot pa naman talaga ako sa mga putok."After 50 rounds, i got used to the noise. I'm pretty sure im going to love this new hobby. "Syempre i still have my first love... SCRAPBOOKING."
